GRM, I also have an H I've owned for 20 years, an "old" friend who worked on these machines his whole life told me to use non detergent oil, said it would eat up the engine. I followed this practice till this year. Just did a complete re-build and since discussing the matter with these fine people on the discussion board, I went to a straight 30 detergent oil. It does not get as cold here in North Texas as where you are located.
