Be sure if you are going to use a hydrostatic drive to include a HUGE oil cooler. Heat is one of the biggest enemies of hydraulic systems. Next to that is dirt, be sure to have a good filtration system too. Did you plan on using the hydraulic system out of a swather or something? I know the Versatile and IH swathers had good hydro drive systems using 2 motors. I always wanted to put a V8 or inline 6 in a W-9 with automatic tranny to use for a loader tractor...
