That sounds like a very good idea, I had the same idea back in the 1970's, but didn't do more than talk about it. The nice thing about hydraulic motors, a pump, and whatever valving and proportioning valves, pressure reliefe valves you might need is that you can put them anywhere and just connect hoses as necesary. And finding replacements off the shelf will be easy if you use some of the more common sizes available. You should even be able to make a 3 point hitch with draft control, too. The other post about a cooler and filters is correct. A cooler can be put around the radiator somewhere, like a transmission cooler is placed. the tricky part will be finding the correct center for pulling so that on your first pull you don't flip over backward.
