I have a two button system .....I have to press both buttons at the same time ,it starts in about 30 se......press the two buttons again it turns off....once started you must use the ignition key ,turned on to drive it.....you don't have to use the remote start....just use theignition key as you would if it didn't have the remote system.....My van didn't start well in cold weather, so I had the installer to increase the crank time a little......
