Kurt: Why ever in the world would you want 2 engines for. Put your hydrostatics on one end of crank and power shaft on other end. Or you can buy hydraulic pump equipment today with a shaft right through pump, thus allowing you to put power shaft on end. you can also buy tandem pumps, one for your drive and one for other hydraulic functions. Like you I have thought of doing these kinds of projects. My idea is a 60 hp articulated tractor with say, 13.6 x 28 tire. Personally I like the gear drive, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to influence you. I probably will never do this now. When I was farming, I did most of my front end loader work with 2 Case 1737 Uniloaders, and on concrete they would run circles around my 560D with 2000 IH loader. I always though I would like to have a 4 wheel drive loader tractor that would wade a bit more mud than the skid steer. I always said you don'tneed the hp of a Ford-Versatile for loader work.
