I have a '41 streight H I got late sepember 2001 with trans problems but with a rebuilt engine and new block. Little trans. problems turned out to be about $250 worth of repairs. We had to split it four times the first year. About the second time we split it, we changed front tires. We took both off at the same time and than was going to reast the front hubs on six by sixs so it couldn't fall on the ground. I went over to get one and came back and the tractor had taken a fall ten inches to the cement floor. It didn't break them atleast. About two months ago, we had to put on brand new rears and good used rims because someone put fluid in them and rusted them out. We had to split it the fourth time and a bearing fell apart inside the end of the top shaft of the trans and got inbetween the two mesh gears. it ended up breaking two teeth on the bigger lower one, but only lightly damaged the top. It is now together and can pull five round bales up a hill in first gear. I still cant estimate the amount of money i've put into it!
