Check standpipe in sediment bowl housing. They fill up with dirt and rust from the tank and restrict the flow of fuel coming out of the tank.It takes a minute or two to use up the fuel in the fuel bowl of the carbuerator before it dies. The carburator will slowly refill so that you can restart the tractor only to repeat the process all over again.
