My M has a hydraulic pump for its front loader mounted on the PTO shaft. Turns out that this is a very common installation on older tractors. You can still get PTO mounted pumps brand new from many farm supply places. There is a bit of a glitch, though. On the M, the PTO cuts out when you put the clutch in. So, you'll lose hydraulic power when you put in the clutch. That's a bit of a pain when doing front loader work. Another alternative I've been considering, so that I can retain better use of my PTO, is creating a PTO mount off the belt-pulley drive. I haven't gotten more along on this project than speculation. I found an M&W hydraulic pump (but haven't bought it yet) that goes between the distributor and timing gears. So, I really haven't continued this train of thought.
