Bob the easiest way to get the old seals out is to take a 3/8" drill bit and drill a big ol hole into the old seal housing. Your bit will go in about an inch before it hits the back of the bull cage housing. Then you can stick in a chisel or slip plyers and rip it out. Cussing is optional. It will come out in a few pieces. If its the original seal, it will be a double assembly in one housing.
