IH 400 Diesel Serial no 3345

Can any one tell me any information on this tractor year of manufacture?, how many international W400's Built with diesel engine?,
There is a problem with the gas -diesel change over somthing in the head is sticking if you gently tap end of shaft where it enters the head you here a click and change over occours, does this sound good or bad? or is repair simple?
Thanks in advance Eric.... P.S. what is a Super WD6TA worth in working order all complete but in need of some TLC
