Bill, I have to agree with Second Opinion. My dad worked at a business that ran several fork lifts inside. They HAD to be run on propane (LP) due to OSHA regs. They converted them several years earlier than OSHA requirements, though, because the oil stayed clean longer and spark plugs lasted forever. LP does not dilute the oil like unburned gasoline, nor does it impart carbon particles to blacken it. I also ran a Ford pickup on propane from 1982-1993. I used a quality gasoline engine oil in it the whole time and when I traded it it had over 140,000 miles on it with no mechanical failures whatsoever. Any quality oil designed for gasoline engines will work perfectly. My 2¢, Phil
