I believe that any quality gasoline or diesel oil will be just fine. I would certainkly consider synthetics. Amzoil (www.amzoil.com) lists an oil for use in natural gas engines but then states that it is not for use in automotive engines that have been converted to run on natural gas or LP. They note rust prevention duriong long periods of inactivity, such as might occur with a backup generator, as one of the benefits of their oil.
