Depends on what you are trying to do. I pulled a 6 foot trailing tandem disk weighted with railroad irons in third gear for years as a kid back on the farm. H will probably pull an 8 foot tandem, but not as fast or deep. If you are talking offset, 6 foot is probably the maximum. I suppose you can still find single gang disks, but you would have to go over the ground twice to get the effect of a tandem. Never used one.
