Morning Wayne, I'll tell you a little JB weld story. Back in 1977, I had an old 1/2 ton Chevy pickup that I hauled several thousand pounds of my welding equipment (including a welder)around to the oil rigs making a few bucks welding up structural stuff that the pipe welders wouldn't touch. It developed a 1 inch crack in the block under the head and I couldn't afford anything but JB weld. I drilled a small hole only about a 32nd deep at the bottom of the crack to stop it's growth, then I ground a small V down the crack and ground around the crack to clean it good. I applied the first layer so thin you could see through it. When that dried I kept applying thin layers until the V was filled. It held up fine for 2 more years until the trany gave it up. I've got a B that I'm going to do the same way. You've got nothing to lose but maybe a walk home if it ever failed. Merry Christmas, TN
