Never heard of the extra cylinder on the front of the hitch. We had a 350 and 3 bottom mounted plow. Depth control wasa joke. Spent most of the time plowing with one hand on the fst hitch control, changing depth manualy. Some had a wheel on an adjustable mount toward the front of the plow that offered some depth control. The traction control lever on the left of the platform we kept set in the down position (locked out). Depth control was impossible with it in an operating position. Also, dd wouldn't put any weight on the front, so we spent a lot of the time plowing with the front whels in the air, especially under tough sticky conditions.
