There may not be bulbs out there to do the job. I went to get a bulb lately for my 6 volt Super A and at two different auto parts stores no 6 volt bulbs. While going through the selection I noticed there were no 12 volt bulbs with the same candle power, or even anything close to the size that is in Super A. My SA has an alternator with a six volt built in regulator. That system has been working much better for past ten years than my 130 with 12 volt alternator.
