I belive that IH built a kerosine engine and a distilate engine. Also it sounds as though you might need to replace the thermostat. My gasoline H runs cold all the time also, I replaced the thermostat with an automotive type from auto zone and it still doesn't get hot unless I'm pulling a really big plow. I just ordered the proper thermostat from Bermuda Ken at Carter & Gruenwald Last Friday, hopefully it will be here on Monday or Tuesday, as I'm trying to finish putting my engine back together on New Years day.
