Were there any Miltary I-4's??????? You bet there were. You say there is blue paint showing, that could mean either Navy or might be Air Force. They were used as tow units by both services. The Air Force didn't become separate from the Army until probably after your I-4 was built. If you ordered several units IH would paint them pink if that is what you wanted. So could be that it was just from a fleet user.
