My book on wheel tractors says the 9's sn plate is located on the fuel tank support. I don't know if a tracklayer is in the same place or not. There may also be an engine serial # which may be the tractor's # if it's the original engine. I'm not sure where it is located on the 9's, maybe one of those lucky WD9 owners can help you out. Casting numbers on some of the parts may help approximate dates, if you search the archives at the top of the page for "casting" you will probably get about 2000 responses but one of them may help you out. Good luck, enjoy the FFA and your youth, it doesn't last forever. I say this and I'm "only" 25(for about 2 more weeks)... Fireman
