Hello Preston, --- 30 / Dec. / 2002 --- The motor SERIAL NUMBER is on a raised area (1/4 in) and is 3/4 in by 2 or 3 inches long - machine smooth area and has a SERIAL NUMBER which is machine stamped on it. The PREFIX letters should be "TDCBM". The grease and paint would have to be removed to read this. This is on the block, usualy up front right side of motor / but could be anywhere / right side - left side / but is on the block. Use paint remover to remove the paint. What ever the Prefix letters are / give that and the SERIAL NUMBER - OK? Regards, Milton
