Yes, they did build a 340 Diesel. The engine was a D-166 four-cylinder (had 166 ci), and it was a four-cylinder version of the D-236 and D-282 six-cylinders found in the 460 and 560. The 504, which replaced the 340, had the D-188 diesel (also a four-cylinder version of the D-236 and D-282). The 340 Gas had a C-135.
