CNKS, I'll agree with 99%, but when you see 10,000 votes on the color survey - that still leaves room for 100 idiots running around -- and 100 idiots with lawyers can cost any company a lot of money. The disclaimer indicates you accept, and leads you to the terms and conditions; the major intent of which is self protection for the board. The right to remove offending spammers doesn't appear until item three. I have no problem with any of it; I only bemoan the state of affairs which dictates that the people who own and run the site need to put it there. It's almost an analog to saying that any owner of a blank piece of paper who leaves it lying around becomes responsible for the content left by anyone who comes along and decides to write on it. After all that - here's hoping that you and ytmag.com both enjoy a prosperous New Year. Steve

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
