I sure didn't mean to open up any can of worms over my "rare" I-6 with original Trojan Cab and dirt blade. I've had it on the net for months, looking for another. I've heard several times how rare is isn't, but no one ever comes up with another like it. Even Mr. Fay never ran across one or reference to one when he wrote his great and famous "Letter" series book. A friend of mine said he saw one in an upstate, NY Museum, so I drove 200 miles to see it. Turned out to be an I-4 with a snow blade. My I-6 has all the IH plates and all the Trojan plates and is missing nothing. It's built like a tank! I've only been tinkering tractors for 50 years, so I certainly could be wrong, but I still say it's "rare" until someone can lead me to another one just like it. I've had a lot of tractor nuts look at it, an no one has ever seen one like it. Reminds me of the time I had with the Mercedes 300-S I bought to tour Europe in. Most of my classic car snobs said, "that ain't rare." Then along came an expert by the name of Tony Hulman, owner of the Indianapolis Speedway Museum. He bought it in a flash! It's in the Indianapolis Museum yet today. I won't mention this tractor on the board again. I say it's rare an I know I'm right. If there's one in every hedgerow, just send me a pic. I sure would like to see it. By the way, this one came from a contractor in New York City. He used to to smooth building sites. It was in the backyard of a home in Queens, of all places. I would drive down there with a trailer so I hired a friend to truck it on up to the farm. How many can say they bought a huge tractor out of a back yard in New York City?

When Push Comes to Shove - by Dave Patterson. When I was a “kid” (still am to a deree) about two I guess, my parents couldn’t find me one day. They were horrified (we lived by the railroad), my mother thought the worst: "He’s been run over by a train, he’s gone forever!" Where did they find me? Perched up on the seat of the tractor. I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
