Tractor flywheel timing marks

Just a suggestion when one has finally located the timing mark on the flywheel. Why not put a spot of paint on the crank pulley relative to the timing mark/inspection hole? Next time, just line up the paint spot with the inspection hole. The timing mark should be within a few degrees. Or am I "off the mark" here?
