I just finished repairing my H,it has been down for a month and I was suffering from withdrawal! While pulling a offset disk that was way too big for the H, it developed a severe knock. The engine had about 100 hrs on it since a rebuild and I was just sick. I pulled the bearings and everything looked good so I figured a wrist pin bushing went bad (I got cheap when I overhauled the engine and didn't change the rod bushings). I had another set of good rods so I had new bushinngs put in. Then I pulled the head and found a suprize! laying on top of #1 piston was one of the screws from the carburater butter fly, flatter than a pancake. I've never had the screws out of the butterfly befor I have no idea how it came loose (you can bet they won't come loose again). The piston had a slight impression in the top but was ok. The head looked fine. I went ahead and changed the rods and reassembled the engine. Now she sounds sweet again. I'm happy!
