These maybe dumb questions

But how do you get the *#^% battery box off a farmall 400? I have cleaned about 25 years of trash out of the battery box and I can see what I think are bolts (or what is left of them) holding the box in place. Do must of you guys just cut them off with the blue wrench(bolts and box)? Also, are parts availible for the seat? I need to rebuild the pedestal. And is there supposed to be some type of spring that goes on the lever that allows you to adjust the seat. TIA
