6788 uses a mix of parts, rear frame casting is the same from 766/1586, then 1486 bull gears, 1066 axles (3.25") and wheels, has 1566/86 transmission gears (3 speed), clutch & TA from 15, another post states 5488 transmission, not correct, thats what the 7288/7488 used. I am taking this from IH parts catalog, I work at a dealer.
