I just saw your reply to my reply to your previous post. I also saw your serial number FBHV 275448x1.
Unfortunately this causes a problem. This is a 1948 serial number (as you pointed out) and the Super H's were only made in 1953 and 1954 (and I believe the prefix on their serial numbers was SH). The x1 on the end of the serial number means gasoline only engine. I believe that when the Super H's came out there were kits available to turn regular H's into Supers (It gave them the power of a Super) so your may have had one of these and Super decals installed?
