I may have a bad alternator (not the topic of discussion right now) but I charged my battery with the charger and decided for the heck of it to start it up tonight because I haven't heard it run since last week. That starter cranked over faster than I've heard it in quite some time, proving to me my battery was slowly dying. I ran it for about ten minutes and inspected my wires and checked my amp gauge for a charge. Giving up for the night (I was still wearing my nice letter jacket from school) I shut it off and noticed a HUGE wet spot on the ground of the shed. It is about 20 degrees outside and I knew that wasn't right. I had been having a little drip from my radiator, either from the hose or the hose insert may have a little thin rust spot, no loss of anti-freeze, or at least that I knew of. I said "OH, CRAP" and knelt down to smell it. Smelled fine, but still... There was a little moisture on the side of the tractor that WAS antifreeze, and I freaked out. I knew the labor and dollar involved in radiator repair, and there is no way I could afford it right now. I looked down the radiator cap and, to my relief, saw antifreeze at the same level as last week. I saw the trail led outside, where the 40 degree sun we had today melted the snow on the garage roof (3 feet away) and it flowed into the shed. Thank God, only water. I love my machine (as I know most of you do!!!) and a radiator crap-out would park my tractor until I raised enough money for repair AGAIN. I did that for two years waiting for money for brakes, distributer cap/wires, and front end bushings, and now that I use it SO much, I don't think I could bear to look at it stay motionless again. I simply felt compelled to write this long story because it was truely the first thing that got my heart going today, and it was at 7:00 P.M.!! Thanks all for the help you have given me to get my tractor to where it is now.

Talk of the Town: How to Remove a Broken Bolt - by Staff. Another neat discussion from the Tractor Talk Discussion Forum. The discussion started out with the following post: "I have an aluminum steering gear housing with a bolt broken off in it. The bolt is about a 3/8" x 1 1/2" bolt. I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
