I think you're right, although I'm not really all that sure either. I believe IF there is any correction it would be that the H's had 10" rims and M's had 11" rims, and whatever tire fit on was used, standard being 10" tires on H and 12.5 on M. I have 11" rims on my Super M with 13.6 tires, which is the original size tire on that tractor. I don't M's had 13.6, I do believe they had rim sized tires (11"). What we are discussing here will probably bring a load of discussion and friendly debate, because this is one of the many historical restoration topics yet to be totally proven and solved about the history of IH tractors. Thanks for the discussion CNKS, and hopefully Bob will at least have a little better idea of letter series tires through other responses.
