While I seldom post to your forum I am a daily reader and enjoy it very much. I need assistance in finding a tractor that we help me rebuild the stone walls on my property here in south central Conn. along I-95. I've had great success in reducing huge boulders, some as big as your kitchen table with a Hilti hammer drill (TE-72) and feathers & wedges into transportable pieces. To date I've rebuilt 60 lineal feet and have another 150' to go. And no, it's not some weenie single height wall...it's 40" across the base, 38" high tapering slightly to 30" across the top.I had a great low hrs NAA with loader that I've since sold but it was underpowered and didn't have power steering, much to small for what I need. Actually I'm in a 10 lot subdivision (4 acre lots) the only thing we grow is grass; on the weekends in the spring all you hear are weedwackers and lawn tractors. Sometimes I would just leave my tractor running in the driveway so my nieghbors could hear the sound of real power!
Anyway I think a 454, 464, 574 or 584 diesel utility would suit my needs & budget.... (yes I am using the wanted classifieds). I also currently subscribe to a great agricultural newspaper published in Lancaster Pa......... but I was thinking of doing something a little different. I am willing to pay a finders
fee or sales commission for someone who finds me the tractor I need. I'm sure most of you would like another Red In the Shed, but that might not always be the case. And I'm not talking about twenty bucks either, I'm talking about (5%)
five percent of the sales price. So if you see the above mentioned tractor models and are within 300 miles or so of New Haven Ct....... drop me a line, I'll even consider going farther afield for a low hrs pristine tractor.
