Bob - You certain the light switch is wired up correctly? The original dimming coil should run COOLER on a 12 volt conversion with 12 volt lamps installed. Another possibility: Are the 12 volt lamps "standard" tractor seal beams, or have you substituted higher wattage lamps?? (Higher watt lamps draw more current and will make the dimmer coil run hot). With the motor off, what does the ammeter read with the lights in both "B" and "D" positions? Post back and we'll go from there! ...Bob M
