JD: the 45 baler was only junk, nothing else will describe it. It was only around for 5 - 6 years, and my dad traded it off for a New Holland Super 69 with a thrower. I had that baler until 1975 when I went to large round bales. The 46 I had came with a second farm I purchased. I used it some baling some corners that were going to droped on ground. The guy I bought the second farm from operated my NH with 656. He said the 46 was no match for the NH S69. He was a young 65 and I just couldn't keep him away from 656 with NH baler or 9' haybine. The other item he liked to get his hands on was 1066 with NH 890 forage harvester. You could shave with the knives when he was running harvester.
