Thanks. The building is the next door house. I can guess you are not from new england if you think it is shaped like a barn. That style of house was first built by the dutch, and it became common in the 1700's. That house was built about 1730. It was in bad disrepair until last year when the neighbor around the corner bought it for the land and was going to tear it down. I made a fuss, and told him to save history, as it is one of the oldest houses in town. He fixed it up and rented it. My house sits in the side pasture of that farm. The old folks sold the farm in 1950 and built this one for retirement. It makes a nice backdrop for a picture, dont it?
