Why do you say 5 mph? By flipping the differential ring gear and using the reverse operation deck lid and shifting forks, you will have five forward speeds. The cotton picker drop boxes with the gears will cut speed by about 75% (44 teeth divided by 57 teeth). Top speed in 5th gear will be about 12 mph. No match for a crop duster but it seems fast enough for field work. I beleive the 400-660 lid is the same as the previously mentioned lid but would need some machine work on a Bridgeport. The shifting forks, if not available, could probably be fabricated using the original forks
