I agree with Andy - cause is probably probably oil/grease on the friction disk. Could also be the result of a worn pilot bearing and/or tranny input shaft bearing.

However if the tractor has been idle for an extended period, it could simply caused by a thin layer of rust on the flywheel and pressure plate surfaces. Simply using the clutch (and letting it slip a bit on each engagement) might clear it up over time.
