There should be (if not removed) a serial number plate on the left side of clutch housing. There is also a serial number stamped in the right side of block. Ussually, but not always, these numbers would match up if the serial number plate is missing. The serial number plate would be official if the numbers by chance didn't match. The serial number location is the same for the H and M.
