Yeah, eBay is the rich man's game sometimes. Also though there are some rare parts that go for reasonable prices too. I have bought several art prints for around $15 when the artist's website lists them as being $45 each! On the other hand, I buy complete tractors for $50 to $400 depending on condition and what is with them. My $400 H included a balanced drive belly mount sickle mower that is worth twice that! Some parts that I have sold using ytmag could have brought double or more on eBay, but I figure that at least here it will be someone who just loves old tractors and really needs the part - rather than the rich man on eBay that just wants a toy to display.
