Well, I just filled up my diesel pickup truck - 5 gallons of kerosene and 14 gallons of diesel. Hopefully, this will prevent gelling in this near 0 weather. Usually, the supplier will blend the diesel for conditions, but this depends on getting and using fresh fuel, and not lettting it set a while. My truck had been down since fall, and as part of the repair it was necessary to drain the fuel tank. Saved the old diesel and am filtering it thru a wad of cotton cloth in a funnel, and it's sure going slow! ATF contains materials that tend to cause gaskets to swell slightly, ensuring the integrety of the seals in your system. As far as cleaning, etc.?
