In central Illinois the M was the tractor of the day. Back when I was in school I didn't think any farmer that farmed and didn't have a M wasn't much of a farmer. They were the work horse of the day but yet could be used on mowers, cultivators, loaders and anyway you wanted to use them and then be mounted up to one of the best pickers of the day and work all fall. Of course than the the 400's came along and things changed.
