I agree with jmyt and wh. The cutch on the H can be changed without splitting the tractor. Unlike the M which has to be split. About the only time you would need to split the tractor is for engine block removal. If you got 6 tractors to restore and one needs a different block, you might consider using that one for parts. Otherwise, stands, jacks, overhead chain hoist, and such stuff makes splitting a safe procedure. And you could use those items for other shop purposes unlike the apparatus you are thinking about building, which probably wouldn't allow you to actually split the tractor. Using caution you could safely lower heavy items such as the lift all, clutch, and flywheel to the floor with hydraulic jacks. Also lift them into place. I would purchase the extra shop items such as cherry picker, jacks, chain hoist and so on instead of building what you are thinking if it were me.
