I just received one of those rebuilt top plates for the transmission that you see in the paper. It has a few modifications and it is said to be a better design than the original IH. I was wondering if anyone out there has put one of these on and how well did it work. Pros and Cons. Don't be candid I want to know everything. We have 5 of the 06,26,56 series tractors with various shifting problems and instead of getting a new top plate from IH for 600-700 hundred this seems to be a good deal for 600. Any comments, suggestions will be greatly appeciated.
