good morning all. my question is this. i just bought a 2 row planter at auction over the weekend.i am not sure if it is IH or not however it is all red. seems to have all the seed plates but fert hoppers are shot. i will have to rebuild them. it's set up for a 3pt hitch although not original. i have a SA and am wondering that if i make it a drawbar hitch and put chain hooks on it to lift with my rear lift arms would this be ok? would it ride deep enough in front without riding out of the ground or would it need to be weighted? thanks to all in advance, greg.
