I bought A 400 with a New Idea mounted picker on an auction. I firmly believe the tractor would have bought more with out the picker. I was lucky to able to give it away for nothing just to get rid of it. It is a pain in the butt to take off and it would be worse to reinstall, thats why you see so many mounted pickers that stay on the tractor. This one was on the 400 for 15 years. My suggestion is to pickup a good 2 row pull type picker on an auction. These usually go pretty cheap, 300 or less, and would better serve your purpose.
