Is it still 6 volt or has someone converted it to twelve? You say "turn the key" but my 47 has a "push - pull" switch to turn it off or on, and a push button starter switch. Has someone converted it to key switch ignition using a starter solenoid? If so the solenoid may be fried, you could try shorting across it. MAKE SURE THE TRACTOR IS IN NEUTRAL IF YOU DO THIS!!! DO NOT RUN OVER YOURSELF!!! If your H is still 6 volt, make sure all the connections between the battery and the starter are good and tight. Clean the cable real good and the battery post too. You can buy little round wire terminal cleaners for this that work well. Six volt systems are a little slow, but mine has always started provided everything was clean and tight. Good luck, Fireman
