What about the cable going to the starter and where it connects to the starter,is that ok?Thatll make the solenoid click if its not good and tight or has some corrosion in it.To jump the solenoid to need to touch the two cables,one that comes from the battery and the one that goes to the starter.This is assuming you have a setup similar to the old Ford set-up.Im guessing the solenoid just happen to mess up when it did.
