I guess you missed the point. To make hydrogen available to be used as a fuel, regardless of the phases it may go through in the process, will require more input of energy than is or can be available by burning that very fuel. Period! That energy MUST come from somewhere else.

I would also be disappointed if George Bush asked for 1.2 BILLION to use for research on perpetual motion, even if it may be a dream of some school children.

School children should be taught basic physics.
