Hi Bill, the shack party was a great success, folks started arriving about 11 am and things were ready by a little past 12:30. Caesar salad first , then roast turkey, barbequed Moose and venison chops, venison burger casserole, baked potatoes, dressing, turnip,rolls and for dessert raspberry cheesecake and chocolate mousse...pretty fancy for a swamp party in below zero weather..then cards, we play euchre but one table of guys got a game of solo going(old German card game) and we played cards and imbibed all after noon, lit the lanterns and played into the darkness...folks began leaving aroun 5:30 some of us stayed till almost 7..just good old boys putting in a winters day up here in Ontario..they all thought we should do it twice a winter, I got news for them ..that's a lot of work cooking for 25 or so...Mike in Exeter Ontario
