Ifyou mean your engine will not turn over, your transmission shifter may be hung up. These tractors are bad about that if you don't move the shifter STRAIGHT in and out of gear. Rather than lift the cover, take a punch and punch the pin out just under the bell on the shifter lever. Lift the shifter up and see if the slots in the forks are all lined up. If they aren't use a long screwdriver to pry the out of line back in place. You may have to lean against the tire and wiglle the tractor back and forth to take the pressure off the gears.
