Yes, this is a scam, as is pretty much any type of unsolicited e-mail mentioning Nigeria or any West African country. We've had several of them at work wanting federal government bank account and credit card numbers; we reported them to the FBI. It's something that seems to come and go every so often.

It never ceases to amaze me that people actually give these losers their bank account and credit card numbers. They'd never give a stranger a key to their house. Why do it with a bank account?!
